How it works
We use USDA food calories and serving weights, then estimate activity time for your body weight and the pace shown. By default, we count the extra energy used while moving, above what you would use at rest.
One daily serving of fast foods, cheeseburger; single, regular patty; plain (1 sandwich, 91 g) adds up to about 1,962 kcal per week. At 75 kg (165 lb), that’s roughly 26.7 miles (43.0 km) of walking at 3 mph (4.8 km/h).
These figures compare energy amounts. They do not predict weight loss or tell you how much exercise to do. See the formulas and sources.
